How to Use Printable PDFs in a Digital Planner

Import a standard PDF into your note-taking app and keep a clean master copy.

Start with the original PDF

Keep one untouched copy in cloud storage before importing the planner page into Goodnotes, Notability, Noteshelf or another PDF-friendly app. That gives you a clean source whenever you want to duplicate a page.

Choose the right page size

A4 gives you more writing space, while A5 and A6 feel lighter on tablets and smaller screens. Match the page size to the device and the way you usually write.

Import, duplicate, then annotate

Import the PDF as a document, duplicate the page you want to reuse, and write only on the duplicate. This keeps your template reusable.

Organize by purpose

Create sections for calendar, weekly planning, finances, meals and notes instead of building one huge unstructured notebook.

Keep exports simple

When sharing or printing, export only the finished pages you need. Your original template should remain unchanged.
